He is Professor of Polymer Science and Technology in the Department of Chemistry, UOP and collaborating faculty member of FORTH. He spent sabbatical years in Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz and in B.A.S.F., Ludwigshafen. His research activities are focused on the synthesis of new polymeric materials with various architectures for photonic and photovoltaic applications, proton conducting materials for fuel cell applications, amphiphilic block copolymers with biocidal or antifouling properties, modification of carbon nanotubes with the semiconducting polymers. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Macromolecular Science, Pure & Applied Chemistry and member of the Polymer Division of IUPAC, Polymer Division IV (2005-2009). He is co-author of 135 research publications and 10 patents (H factor:24). Also he is involved in 10 Research Projects supported by the EU.
