Constantinos Tsitsilianis received his Ph. D. in physical chemistry of polymers from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Patras, in which is full Professor since 2005 and Director of the Polymer Lab. He is member of FORTH-ICE/HT as well. He did his postdoctoral research on polymer chemistry in the institute “Charles Sadron” in Strasburg, he was invited researcher at the Department of Polymer Chemistry, University of Groningen, and Invited Professor at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, E.S.P.C.I. in Paris. His research interest is in the area of macromolecular engineering. His recent research activities include: synthesis and characterization of model macromolecules of controlled topology via “living” polymerization methods and association phenomena of block copolymers in selective solvents, i.e. nano-structured micelles and reversible physical gels from stimuli responsive model block copolymers in aqueous media. He is co-author of more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 40 refereed conference proceedings and 5 chapters in books.
