Born at Amaliada Hleias, GR in 1953. Degree in Physics 1980,Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanics) (1991). Department of Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics, Laboratory of Biomechanics & Biomedical Engineering (Lecturer (1993-2004) Assistant Professor (2004-today). Academic - Research fields: Biomechanics, Biomaterials and Artificial Organs. Teaching stuff in courses: Chemistry, Biomaterials, Artificial organs, Physics and Chemistry of Polymers.
Research interests: Biomechanics of soft tissues and relevant biomaterials, Dystrophic calcification of heart valves and blood vessels, Biodegradable polymeric biomaterials, Tissue Engineering in cardiovascular system.
President, Hellenic Society of Biomechanics. Organizing committee, last 4 national congresses in Biomechanics.
